  2. i m from tripura NE… kudos to keralites for this initiative…. that shows time has come for us Indians to top our gear and develope our infrastructure key role for any country to be economically strong… jai hind

  3. As a proud Malayali, Further proof that if we just privatize things, finally something good will come out of Kerala. Everything that is headed by a private individual has been a resounding success in Kochi.

Whether it is Nedumbassery airport, Yusuf Ali’s Lulu, Kochi Metro or Infopark all these places boomed because they are largely controlled in a private / CEO model.

If the Airport were left in the hands of our incompetent Kerala Govt, they’d still be ‘inviting tenders’ and corruptly stealing 75% of the funds. The airport still wouldn’t be ‘finished’ like our Sahodran Ayappan Road (work still not completed after 40 years). Even if the govt somehow did it, it would have been the worst airport in the country.

Let this be an eye opener and let more projects come out spearheaded and accountable by private individuals. Otherwise Kerala will be stuck in the ‘socialist’ dark ages for another 70 years.

  4. I have been to this airport many times and can say it's one of the simplest and nicest airports in India. The staff are just awesome too and go out of their way to help you. I hope ths stays the same.

  5. Congratulations team CIAL. This model can adopted for the entire country as we get plenty of sunshine. We can reduce the dependence on crude and coal. This will save rupee and the environment
